Still not exactly what I want from a theme/template but it seems to be getting closer.

Seriously thinking about putting a scroll over on the bald guy that brings up a notice that the guy is not me.

Doug,

Thanks for the link. I'll have to take a look at what they have. We already bought one piece of software for Sharepoint, WikiPlus from http://www.kwizcom.com. The reason is that the standard out of the box wiki from Sharepoint was pretty much crap and didn't support proper wikitext. I'm sure when it comes to some things we'll be able to buy the part. The problem is that there are some requirements that my company has that means we need a more customized solution. That's where I come in ;). Also I want to work on developing some of these items so that I can learn how it all works.

3rd party WebParts are one way to eliminate some of the needed tools and allows you to build advanced applications without having to resort to digging into some of these apps (especially sharepoint designer). Quest has a set at www.quest.com/web-parts-for-sharepoint. Won't solve all your problems but will improve the overall development process.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I'm working on a new post describing my attempt at making a theme for the company.

This will include my attempts at trying to make changes with CSS.

You really summed it up. SP makes some stuff really hard that traditional web standards do easy but also does somethings easily in a MS environment. In the end I got tired of wresting it and gave in tho traditional php etc.

I think this is very interesting stuff. I am interested in giving a class presentation on Wavelets and how they work. Image compression is something that most people can understand if they can see it first hand.

Could you help me out with using the code?

Just shoot me an email if you get this.

Thanks!

Thanks for the visit Troy.

The project is not on my front burner because of job related stuff needing to be done first. Although it is still in the back burner. I'm working on a couple of class libraries to assist with the project, and I want to revisit this Haar class. I'm now doing more with C# and would like to see if I get better results with the C# as when I do with the VB.NET.

I do plan on working on this more but I've got a lot of things on my plate at this time.
